Sowing & Growing

Lisa producers all of the flowers herself and they are all grown organically. Seed sowing commences in February, with hardy annuals being sown into individual plug trays to be planted out in the open field. The dahlias will have been covered with straw over Winter to protect them from the frost & in May the flowers are available for cutting. This year there will be new additions to Lisa's seed sowing including celosia & lisianthus, trachelium & new colours of dahlias. Once the busy season of harvesting & designing arrangements is over in October, it is time to collect the seeds for the following year & manure the planting beds for next year!
